William Box - Professional Bio
William (Bill) Box began his career in the home inspection and commercial property inspection industry in Kentucky in 2006. Bill began working in the residential construction trades in 1985 as a roofer and remodeling tradesman. Later becoming a framing carpenter before settling into many years as an interior and exterior finishing contractor performing work primarily on executive caliber homes and small to mid-sized commercial properties.
After transitioning into the home inspection business in 2006, within the first year in business Bill took up the practice of commercial property insurance inspections and indoor air quality testing. In 2010 Bill returned to college and in 2012 graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor's Degree of Integrated Studies with the area of study in Building Science and Construction Engineering.
During his Bachelors degree pursuit Bill acquired many Building Science related certifications:
- Building Performance Institute- Building Analyst
- Level 1 Infrared Thermographer
- NABCEP- Solar Installer
- LEED-Green Associate
In 2012 Bill formed American Building Science to offer a wider range of services to better reflect his training,
In 2015, Bill went on to achieve the designation of Resnet HERS Rater which is a significant Building diagnostic designation currently held by only 1,962 individuals nationwide.
